Create Store (Onboarding)

Ecommaps onboarding is a guided flow for provisioning a new store before API usage.

Entry Point

Open:

  • https://app.ecommaps.com/{locale}/dashboard
  • Click Create New Store card
  • The app redirects to /{locale}/dashboard/onboarding

Step 1: Store Identity

Required inputs:

  • Store Name
  • Subdomain

The onboarding wizard validates domain availability in real time. Continue only when the subdomain is marked available.

Step 2: Business Model

Choose one operating mode:

  1. Full E-commerce Store (Themes-based)
    Best for multi-page storefronts, collections, and standard catalog browsing.
  2. Sales Funnel / Landing Experience (EcoBuilder-first)
    Best for campaign landing pages and high-conversion single-flow checkout strategies.

This choice can be adjusted later, but set the expected launch mode early for cleaner setup.

Step 3: Regional Setup

Set:

  • Country
  • Currency
  • Optional Store Description

These values define commercial defaults and initial localization assumptions.

Completion Behavior

After creation, Ecommaps redirects to:

  • /{locale}/dashboard/sites/{siteIdentifier}

This is the store-level operations dashboard.

Operational Recommendation

  • Create at least one product immediately.
  • Generate an API key before connecting external systems.
  • Verify settings (checkout, visual identity, and team access) before first launch.
